Madness to return with a tour?

06723_223756_madness_beni_tox1Pop sensations Madness have recently announced that there will be a 4 date tour to celebrate their 30th anniversary together. That also includes a return for their Madstock festival, to celebrate also  their 30th anniversary again. Madstock will return for the first time in over ten years at London’s Victoria Park on July 17, so the show is really back with an outburst of a bang!!!!! The tour is a follow up to their forthcoming album ‘The Liberty Of Norton Folgate’ which is set to be out March 2nd, the same as U2, it will be a battle of the genre’s!!!! Madness Will Tour:

  • Norwich Norfolk Showground (June 13)
  • Stroud Gatcombe Park (26)
  • London Victoria Park (July 17)
  • Romsey Broadlands (18 )

Katy Perry, Kings Of Leon + Snow Patrol To headline at ‘T In The Park’ Festival?

0678_131029_tinthepark2006_01T In The Park’s festival boss Geoff Ellis has revealed that Kings Of Leon, katy Perry and Snow Patrol are set to headline at the show. The boss revealed all this factual info to the Daily Record, in response to internet rumors of the official line-up. Ellis told the newspaper that:“We’re delighted. Kings Of Leon are the hottest property at the moment. We’re ecstatic at having locked them in. Snow Patrol are Scotland’s biggest band at the moment”. He also stated that: ”She [Katy Perry] has great songs and is full of attitude. I saw her hosting the MTV Awards in Liverpool and I just knew she could carry it off,”

The festival [T In The Park] is set to be on July 10-12 in Balado, near Kinross next year.

2005: ‘Push The Button’ By The Chemical Brothers went to No.1, which was the duo’s 4th No.1 Album

2000: ‘Rise’ By Gabrielle went straight to No.1, the song used a sample from Bob Dylan’s ‘Knocking On Heavens Door’, giving Dylan his 3rd UK No.1 As a writer.

1999: Britney Spears started a two week run in the US charts with ‘Baby One More Time……….’. Britney’s debut album also went to No.1 on the same day in the US.

1999: (Continued) In the NME Readers pool results, the winner of  ’The pop Personality That You Would Like As Your Doctor’ went to Natalie Imbruglia. 

1994: Dina Carroll went to No.1 on the UK album chart with her hit album ‘So Close’.

Chris Not recording with Coldplay?

martinobama200It has recently been revealed that Coldplay front man Chris Martin has not yet joined the band in the studio’s to record a forthcoming album. Martin said the decision for him to sit out of a two week recording session had been made by their producer, Brian Eno. Chris has recently appeared on XFM Radio for an acoustic session in front of a lucky 30 people, Martin also appeared on Absolute Radio aswell.

The Shockwaves NME Awards Big Gig After Party details have been announced after long awaited excitement. The party will run from 10PM – 2AM (GMT) and will feature a Filthy Dukes performance along with NME DJ’s Jeff Automatic and Mickey Four who will take to the decks. Tickets for the party are available to buy now, costing £7 (£10 on the door).

    Taylor Swift Still At No.1?

    661970319-Year -Old Taylor Swift is still at No.1 for her best selling album ‘Fearless’.  Her album has sold more than 63,000 copies, which is the same amount it sold the previous week, so the album has now sold an estimated 2.4 Million copies of her album!!!! A good start to her singing career we think. Although the youngster is yet to be out done by legendary Mr Bruce Springsteen, as his album ‘Working On A Dream’ has projected sales of about 200,000 copies!!!!

    15476979U2,kid Rock and Rihanna are set to perform at the Grammy Awards along with already announced Coldplay,Radiohead,Katy Perry and Paul McCartney (backed on drums by Foo Fighters Dave Grohl). Also to perform at the Staples center in Los Angeles (February 8th) are Disney stars Jonas Brothers,Country classic kenny Chesney and R&B legends Jay Z,Lil Wayne,T.I and Kayne West who will perform  a version of their single Swagga Like Us’.

    zavvi to close more stores?

    Well known UK music shop Zavvi is set to close 15 more stores, in result of the Credit Crunch Zavvi have already recently closed 55 stores, with an amount of 826 job losses. However, the remaining 48 stores are set to remain open reports  BBC News.  With another 15 stores closing, 295 people will lose their jobs after the December 24th Administration the company went through. The list of the closures are as follows:
