Today In Music……….

2008: US Space Agency NASA announced that the legendary Beatles song ‘Across The Universe’ would be the first song ever to be beamed into space.

2004: LMc vs U2 started a two week reign at No.1 with ‘Take me to the the Clouds Above’ on the UK Singles chart.

1999: Four hundred people were injured during a Marilyn Manson gig after missels and abuse were aimed at the man himself, this resulted into him storming off.

1997: Blur went to NO.1 with ‘Beatle Bum’ in the UK singles Chart.

1992: George Michael + Elton John went to No.1 on the US Singles Chart with ‘Don’t Let The Sun Go Down On Me’.

Lily Allen At No.1?

This will be her second No.1 in the chart, her first being Smile back in 2006. The singer went straight in at the top, beating Lady Gaga and her three week hit ‘Just dance’, Miss Gaga now is at No.2. lets hope more is yet to come for both the young lasses.

As its the last day of January today well 6 minutes to go as right now its 23:54PM i thought we better out another one of those remember pieces on again, so here it goes.

2008: Natasha Beddingfield went to No.3 in the US charts with her album ‘Pocketful Of Sunshine’.

2003: Robbie Williams topped a chart based on UK album sales from the past 5 years. William sold 9.7 Million albums in Britain, an average of more than 5000 a day!!!!

2002: US Metal Thrash band Exodus man Paul Baloff died of a fatal stroke.

1998: Usher went to No.1 on the UK singles chart with ‘You make me wanna’.

1988: Ms Janet Jackson went to No.1 (US Charts) with her single ‘Together Again’.

1981: Blondie went to US No. with ‘The Tide Is High’.

1976: Abba knocked Queen off the top spot with ‘Mamma Mia’. Queen’s  week run song ‘Bohemian rhapsody’ also featured the same lyric: ‘Mamma Mia,Mamma Mia,Mamma Mia Let Me Go’!!!!
